The Art is Organized to Tell the Story

The collection is arranged into 5 galleries, each building on the next to create a clear cause-and-effect narrative of climate change:

  • Why is the climate changing?

  • How is it impacting our world?

  • Who is at risk—humans and other species?

  • What actions can we take to address it?

  • “No-Graphiti” - Dramatizing client science through words, numbers and concepts.

The Large Collection Provides Many Options

The collection includes over 100 works, each illuminating a different facet of climate science.

This breadth allows curators to select art that highlights both the global threat and the local impacts most relevant to their audiences.

Moving from “macro to micro” brings the global story home—making it immediate, personal, and compelling.

The Issue Crosses Curriculum Boundaries

An Environmental Graphiti® exhibit can be tailored to highlight a wide range of themes—not only STEM, but also nature, conservation, economics, politics, global policy, urban studies, social work, art, religion, data visualization, health, communication, and even philosophy and ethics.

The messaging is flexible and can be adapted for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, making the art relevant in classrooms, community centers, museums, and public spaces alike.

Curate to Any Focus

The collection’s breadth and diversity allow it to be curated around specific curriculum themes, for example:

  • Ocean heat

  • Sea level rise

  • Human health

  • Strategies for mitigation and adaptation

  • and more…

Art as a Gateway to Climate Justice

Use Environmental Graphiti® as an entry point for dialogue on climate justice—examining the disproportionate challenges faced by regions with fewer resources for mitigation and adaptation, and highlighting the responsibility of developed nations toward those most impacted yet least responsible for climate change.
